Our Hope For You- A New Year Message from Sagicor's President & CEO

“Our Hope for You”

Dickens’ Tale of Two Cities is perhaps a most fitting summation of the year 2020. It was a year filled with uncertainties, but a year that also offered us the opportunity to pause and connect with the virtues that make us most human – love, kindness, and compassion.

It was the best of times as we witnessed a display of human kindness like we never experienced before. Our first responders and community leaders went beyond the call of duty to ease the pressures of something unknown to all of us.

At Sagicor, we believe it is our duty to serve our community and continued to provide love and support to the sectors that needed it most – health and education. From contributions to the fight against COVID-19 to the donation of new classroom furniture to the distribution of masks and hand sanitizers, we conscientiously played our part in the fight to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and assisting communities to adjust to what has been dubbed the “new normal”.

We remained committed to supporting projects that continue to impact the lives of our youth. The times were different but we remained steadfast in our commitment to support nation building through our Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives.

As we enter a new year, we are offered a spring of hope. A hope that we will continue to be our brothers’ keeper. A hope that brighter days are ahead and we are confident that we will have the courage and strength to rise to any challenges that may be ahead.

The Sagicor Group will continue to embrace the spirit of compassion, love, and kindness, and through our initiatives spread this spirit to all Jamaicans and the rest of the world.
2020 has taught us that we are able to rise above adversities through creativity and innovation and we are resilient and strong. As we reflect on our challenges and triumphs, and enter 2021, may we be reminded of the spirit of UBUNTU - I am because we are.

We are SAGICOR strong because of you. Happy New Year!
