The Government of Jamaica, in collaboration with Sagicor has put in place a health insurance scheme to provide healthcare benefits for its employees and pensioners. Sagicor provides administrative claims payment services to Government employees and pensioners.

Government Schemes Senior Government Executives

The Senior Government Executives health plan formerly refer to as the Permanent Secretaries health plan was established in 1995 based on a collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Planning, on behalf of the Government of Jamaica and the Permanent Secretaries.

Government Employees Administrative Services Only

The GEASO Health Scheme provides coverage for eligible Teachers, Nurses, members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the United District Constables and Civil Servants who are employed on a full-time basis in Central and Local Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Approved Statutory Bodies.

Government Pensioners Administrative Services Only

Sagicor on behalf of the Government of Jamaica in collaboration with the Jamaica Government Pensioners Association administers the Government Pensioners Administrative Services Only (GPASO) scheme, which has provided health coverage for pensioners since December 1995.

Ni Gold

The NI Gold Health Plan is an innovative health care programme for pensioners under the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) that came into effect December 2003. The Anniversary of the Scheme is April 1st of each year.
