The Tampa-based office of Sagicor Life Insurance Company is an active supporter of the Hillsborough County Education Foundation (HCEF). For years, the team has contributed many hours of volunteer service, as well as provided monetary support through fundraisers and other events.

HCEF makes donated school supplies available to teachers working in low-income areas through its Teaching Tools Store. Through the store, Teachers access the supplies needed for their classes, including paper, pencils, pens, erasers, glue, staplers and even books – all free of charge. In July of 2018, the Tampa office held a ‘School’s Out for Summer’ fundraiser, complete with a bar-b-que-themed lunch and a guessing game centered around old school pictures submitted by employees.

Through the efforts of the Tampa Community Volunteer Committee and the employee fundraising team, Sagicor was able to present a check for $1,000 to the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
