Sagicor Supports Community with Wheelchair Donation to the J.E.S. Foundation
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago – Following its Pinktober activities, Sagicor continues to demonstrate its commitment to community health with the donation of wheelchairs to the John E. Sabga (J.E.S.) Foundation. The mobility aids will support beneficiaries of the Foundation, enhancing independence and access to care for persons in need.
Supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities is part of who we are, said JESF’s operations consultant Lisa Ghany. She noted the donation is a practical way to help people live with dignity and independence.
“The JES Foundation, established in 2017 in honour of John E Sabga, focuses on raising awareness, providing patient support, and advancing education around pancreatic cancer in Trinidad and Tobago. The Foundation works to provide resources and advocacy for patients and families affected by the disease,” Ghany said.
November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, a time when the world unites to shed light on this devastating disease, which continues to rise globally. During this month, we place special emphasis on the importance of research, as it is through research that we move closer to developing better therapies and treatment options for patients. This commitment to advancing research remains a vital part of the work we do said, Founder of the J.E.S. Foundation Natalie Sabga.
Wheelchairs offer immediate assistance, enabling access to medical appointments and daily activities. Through this donation, Sagicor complements the Foundation’s efforts, bridging practical needs and supporting families navigating health challenges.
