Sagicor gets intimate with topics that matter in new online series
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados –We are all encouraged to eat healthy, however, finding easy and affordable ways to do so is the greatest challenge for most.
Through the introduction of its “Intimate Chats” series, Sagicor Life Inc is seeking to address this and other health and financial literacy topics that matter to Barbadians throughout the year.
The series commences on Sunday, February 16th, with the topic “Easy and Affordable Ways for Families to Eat Healthy”, being discussed by a panel featuring local health experts and advocates, social commentators and influencers, along with some of Sagicor’s team members.
Participating in the first edition are Ena Harvey, Vice President of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados; Kimberley Rudder, Contractual Nutritionist with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados; Susan Boyea, Sagicor Life Inc’s Vice President of Group Insurance; Anderson Bowen, Lead Technical Support Specialist, Sagicor Life Inc; Sagicor Advisor, Rudo Catlin; Beauty Educator, Heidi Bowen and Business and Property Owner, Shona Catlin; moderated by Sagicor’s Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Brand Experience, Carolyn Shepherd.
Mrs. Shepherd explained that the idea behind the series is to spark discussion throughout Barbados on issues that affect us all.
“Our vision is to be a great company committed to improving the lives of the people in the communities in which we operate, and throughout our history we have endeavoured to do this through giving back financially or of our time, in addition to supporting causes and developing programmes. Raising awareness about issues that affect our stakeholder and the wider public has also been critical in this process and The Intimate Chats series is another way in which we intend to achieve this.”
The public is invited to log on to Sagicor Life Inc’s Facebook page to view the discussion, which will be aired from 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 16th.
