Sagicor says thank you to mums with a token of appreciation

May 14, 2019

Bridgetown, Barbados – In celebration of Mother’s Day, Sagicor Life Inc surprised several new mothers with congratulatory gifts in the Pediatrics Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The Sagicor team, which included Kenrick Austin, Assistant Vice President, Customer Service, Cynthia Blackman, Manager, Customer Experience and Tamara Harewood, Customer Experience Officer, visited Wards B1 and B3 and presented balloons to the patients and the nurses. They also visited Wards C7 and C8 and presented Mother’s Day balloons to the mothers who were staying with their children who are ill.

“Together we want to provide a caring environment for the communities in which we work. We are so humble to be able to do something like this to show our appreciation to the mothers in our communities. They were all very excited and appreciative of our gesture,” said Ingrid Card, Vice-President, Corporate Communications and Brand Experience at Sagicor Financial Corporation Limited.

She added, “Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate Mom in all her greatness, but we know the holiday doesn’t stop the challenges of motherhood – so our goal was simple – create for those who make our lives better, a day or a moment where everything stops and we say thank you and hopefully make them feel as special as they make us feel. We were so happy to know that a number of those mums we surprised were Sagicor customers. So, for us, the giving spirit of the community adds communal value to the work we do at Sagicor.”

On Friday, May 10, customers who are also mums that visited Sagicor Life Inc., Sagicor Financial Centre Lower Collymore Rock location for business, were each surprised with a small token of appreciation, while staff at all Sagicor locations who are mothers also received a surprise of gratitude.

Card noted, “We also wanted to ensure that we said thank you to those who have entrusted us with their financial well-being and investments and especially to our advisors who have to balance being a parent while providing the best service to those who trust us.”
