Dexter McKnight is a seasoned insurance professional with four decades of experience in the industry. He began his career in 1984, entering the field through a scholarship, and quickly distinguished himself by earning the prestigious Associate designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII) in 1989.

Dexter joined Sagicor in March 2004 as Assistant Manager - Underwriting and has since risen through the ranks to his current role as General Manager of Sagicor General Insurance Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. In this capacity, he oversees the company’s insurance operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality renewal and new business while upholding Sagicor’s philosophy on claims management. A stickler for excellence in customer service, Dexter is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client satisfaction.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, Dexter has made significant contributions to the industry as a part-time lecturer, sharing his expertise in all aspects of General Insurance. He has conducted numerous in-house training programs and has actively given back to the industry by lecturing in various external initiatives.
