June 15, 2026

Bridgetown, Barbados: Sagicor reinforced its commitment to business excellence and national development as the title sponsor of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (BCCI) Legacy of Leaders Celebratory Luncheon, one of the signature events commemorating the Chamber’s 200th anniversary.

Held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, the luncheon brought together leading figures from the public and private sectors to celebrate the contributions of individuals whose leadership has helped shape the island’s business landscape over several decades. Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley delivered the featured remarks, highlighting the critical role of business leadership and private sector partnerships in the country’s development.

As the title sponsor, Sagicor’s support reflected its longstanding commitment to fostering leadership, entrepreneurship and sustainable economic development. The insurance and financial solutions company has remained a strong advocate for initiatives that celebrate excellence, recognize achievement and strengthen the institutions that underpin national growth.

Sagicor’s involvement in the event aligns with its broader mission of supporting initiatives that contribute to the advancement of Barbados and the region. By partnering with the BCCI on this landmark occasion, the company helped honour the legacy of those who have paved the way for future generations of business leaders, while celebrating the resilience and achievements of the Barbadian private sector.

The Legacy of Leaders Celebratory Luncheon was among several activities throughout the Chamber’s bicentennial year, serving as both a tribute to the past and a reminder of the leadership required to drive Barbados’ continued economic success in the years ahead.
