Sagicor Shines Bright For Divali

October 17, 2025

Port of Spain, Trinidad: As Divali approaches, Sagicor offices across Trinidad and Tobago are coming alive with colour, light, sweets, and celebration. From Port of Spain to Chaguanas, San Fernando, St Augustine, and Tobago, each branch reflects the spirit of the Festival of Lights – a time for unity, renewal, and gratitude.

This year, Sagicor’s celebration goes beyond décor. It’s about heart. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, the company on Thursday extended its light to Rainbow Rescue, a home for socially displaced boys in Maraval. Team members spent an afternoon mentoring and playing football and board games with the 14 residents, each of whom received a care package filled with essentials and Sagicor tokens. Dinner was shared with the boys and their caregivers – a simple act to remind them they are seen, valued, and supported.

“Divali gives us a moment to pause and reflect on what connects us,” said Asha Nabbie, Vice President Marketing and Communications – Southern Caribbean at Sagicor. “Light conquering darkness is a universal story – one that speaks to kindness, hope, and community. That’s what being Caribbean, and being Sagicor, is all about.”

Divali, known as the Festival of Lights, is more than deyas and décor. It’s about shining light where it’s needed most – in our homes, workplaces, and heart.

As the nation celebrates, Sagicor invites everyone to pass by its offices to enjoy the festive displays – a glowing reminder that when we share light, we make the world brighter for all.
