PCA-Tampa Bay announced its Class of 2021 Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship Finalists

August 12, 2020

Tampa, Florida August 12, 2020 — Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA)-Tampa Bay has revealed 50 Tampa Bay area student-athletes from the high school class of 2021, as finalists for the Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship Awards presented by Sagicor Life Insurance Company (Sagicor). The finalists will participate in a year-long program designed to show them how to use their athletic platforms to positively impact others — both on and off the field.

“Sagicor has a long history of partnering with local organizations to enhance the lives of the people in the communities in which we operate,” said Bart Catmull, President of Sagicor Life Insurance Company. “PCA-Tampa Bay is no exception — the work they do embodies our vision, which is why we’re pleased to once again partner with them to sponsor the Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship program. With our highest applicant pool yet, the Class of 2021 has already demonstrated their resilience during a pandemic. And, I have no doubt that they will continue to rise to the occasion, paving the path as our future leaders. We’re honored to help these student-athletes across the Tampa Bay region grow as individuals, and I’m personally looking forward to getting to know them throughout the year.”

At least 25 winners will be selected in the spring as recipients of the Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship Award. For the fifth year running, Sagicor will donate $2,000 to each of the winners, to go toward college expenses.
