Paula is a business-focused human resource professional who has excelled at cultural transformation and leading organizational change initiatives. Her human resources career spans the commercial printing, oil and gas, telecommunications and general insurance industries. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Senior Certified Professional member of the Society for Human Resource Management, a member of the Human Resource Management Association of Barbados where she served as the Vice President for the period 2018-2019, and she is also a member of the International Association of Business Communicators, Barbados Chapter.
She holds a Masters in Human Resources from the University of Surrey and a First Class Honours Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, and Management) from the University of the West Indies. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at Sagicor General Insurance Inc where she heads the human resources function for their operations in Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua and St. Lucia.
