June 05, 2023
Financial services leader Sagicor congratulates senior branch manager Amery Rauseo on his installation as president of the local chapter of the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), as well as on his election as GAMA Caribbean’s first vice president and chairman of the Life Agency Managers Program (LAMP) conference.
GAMA Global is an 87-year-old organisation with nine chapters across 22 countries, with over 12,000 members. Rauseo said, “The GAMA Trinidad and Tobago is a newly formed chapter with an objective to promote professional development needs and leadership skills within the financial industry. I’m especially proud to not only represent Sagicor but also to have an opportunity to advocate and support the insurance professionals of Trinidad and Tobago at an international level.”
The insurance veteran said, “Having a local chapter of such a prestigious organisation brings a lot of benefits: a heightened customer experience, bolstering the sector’s distribution system, improving product offerings, and providing education that integrates technology while also partnering with companies and regulatory bodies to promote business growth, policy alignment and prudent financial management.”
GAMA TT holds the distinction of being the second GAMA chapter in the Caribbean after The Bahamas and the host of the LAMP conference on September 20 to 23 in Trinidad and Tobago.
Other Sagicor members on the board of GAMA TT are agency manager Delano Rauseo, who holds the position as director of marketing; unit manager Jhavon Felmine as director of social media; trainee unit manager Gurda Joseph-Roberts as secretary and trainee unit manager Jason Ramjohn as director of professional education development and membership.
