Sagicor team donates to ABEF Food Drive
Sagicor team members recently helped to bring some Christmas cheer to the Antigua and Barbuda Employers’ Federation (ABEF), when they donated to the Federation’s food drive. In addition to making a financial donation, the team also donated branded bags in which to place the food items and water bottles, as well as assisted with packaging the hampers which were delivered to less fortunate persons last Friday, December 17th.
Sagicor’s Branch Manager Marisia James said giving back is an attribute, the team values greatly. “As a member of the Federation, we were pleased to be able to assist. Christmas is a time for giving and spreading joy and we were glad to be able to do our part to help those less fortunate among us.”
Approximately 70 hampers were packaged and distributed to various charities on-island including the Sunshine Home for Girls and the Boys’ Training School. The elderly, shut-in and differently abled also benefited from the food drive and distribution project which formed part of the ABEF’s 70th anniversary celebrations.
The Sagicor team also donated to the ABEF’s food drive in August where 90 bags were donated.
