Sagicor shows gratitude to outstanding fathers
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Following its recognition of outstanding women who have been on the frontlines of the battle against COVID-19, Sagicor recently shifted its attention to those men who’ve been doing the same.
Coinciding with fathers’ day, which was celebrated in June, the leading financial institution, led by the company’s customer experience team, surprised several of those who have been leading the fight against the spread of the pandemic over the last few months, along with a group of men who were identified as outstanding fathers by a number of the company’s clients.
Tailored gift baskets were delivered to those “superhero” dads who provide essential services and have been risking their lives daily to combat a disease that has crippled every country across the globe. On the company’s social media platform, the public was asked to highlight their fathers and make a case as to why their father should be recognised as outstanding, with the winners also receiving a surprise delivery.
Shepherd noted the company’s focus on recognising the contribution of frontline and essential workers during this time, pointing to the introduction of the Sagicor Healthcare Heroes Group Life Insurance Plan as one of several examples of this commitment.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced to the world the importance for us to be our brother’s keeper. For us all to do our part. Sagicor recognizes the importance of this and will continue to seek ways to recognise and reward heroic efforts”, she said.
