Sagicor is a proud partner of the Caribbean Science Foundation (CSF) Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE) pSagicor rogramme which is offered to Caribbean high-school students, age 16 to 17, who are gifted in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and interested in studying and exploring careers in these disciplines. 

Sagicor is also very happy to sponsor one the 22 brilliant regional students currently attending SPISE’s intensive four-week residential summer programme at the University of the West Indies.

Meet Mya Symister, 17 years old, from Castries, St Lucia:

“I am proud to acknowledge that my sponsor is Sagicor Insurance Company which has provided me the opportunity to attend SPISE 2019 through their generosity. I am immensely grateful to Sagicor for investing in me and my aspirations. I think it is interesting to mention that the word Sagicor is comprised of two words: “sage” meaning wise and “cor” for judgement or heart and I hope that at the end of this programme perhaps they can look back and believe that sponsoring me was indeed wise judgement. I believe SPISE is an opportunity of a lifetime …at least my life time and I look forward to everything it has to offer as I believe I can get it nowhere else.”
