Port of Spain, Trinidad—Sagicor General Insurance (SGI) continues to grow! The leading general insurer launched its newest corporate agency—Signature Financial Services—in Rousillac, headed by Zorena Khan-Alexander. The agency opened to the public on October 1 and is located 1 Aripero Village, Rousillac.

During the launch, Khan-Alexander said, “I’m so pumped and excited to start this next chapter of my insurance journey with the launch of this business and what I hope is only the beginning of a lengthy and strategic partnership with Sagicor as a corporate agent.”

Signature Financial Services will offer all general insurance products available through Sagicor General Insurance, from motor to marine insurance. Also a Life advisor, Khan-Alexander will continue to service her existing clientele with their pension, critical illness and life insurance needs.

Signature Financial Services is in a prime location and is meant to bridge the gap in lack of insurance access in South Trinidad. Khan-Alexander said, “With the closest Sagicor General office in San Fernando, clients would face the challenges of traffic, time and now covid-19 in getting to the city to conduct business. Previously, Sagicor had no presence in deep South and I am here to change that. Being accessible to the community is central to the vision of Signature Financial Services and it aligns with Sagicor’s own vision of improving the lives of the communities in which we operate. Ultimately, my goal is to eventually expand into Point Fortin and the Penal/Debe areas.”

Mc Knight agrees. “Sagicor embraced the opportunity for this partnership with Ms Khan-Alexander based on her almost 20 years of experience in the field of insurance and the high level of service that she provides to her existing client base. Often, in Trinidad and Tobago, we find that rural communities are underserved and face difficulties in conducting business.
