Sagicor Celebrates its oldest customer for 150th anniversary in Dominica
January 10, 2019
Roseau, Dominica: To close off 2018, Sagicor Life Inc. observed its anniversary of 150 years serving the Dominican market and, in a week of activities, took a moment to celebrate the clients who have continued to support them over the years.
Sagicor paid tribute to Conrad McIntyre, the customer who has been with the company the longest in Dominica. Mr. McIntyre acquired his policy 60 years ago in 1958 when he was 23 years old. Sagicor visited him at this home where they presented him with a gift to mark the occasion.
Cheryl Rolle, Principal Representative for Sagicor Life Inc in Dominica said, “Our 150th anniversary is really a testament to the support and loyalty of our customers. It means we are doing something right. We salute the support of customers like Mr McIntyre, who have allowed us to grow with him and his family. We thank him so much for his support and look forward to serving all our customers for 60 years and beyond.”
Sagicor entered the Dominican market in 1868 as Barbados Mutual Life Assurance Society. It was the eighth market the company entered following its establishment in 1840. In 2002 the company was demutualized following the acquisition of majority shares in Life of Barbados after which it was rebranded Sagicor Life Inc.
