Sagicor brings mothers together with their children after months of social distancing

May 10, 2021
After months of remaining socially distant from their mothers due to the persistent threat of the COVID-19 virus, fours clients of Sagicor have been given the gift of a relaxing day with that all-important woman in their lives in celebration of Mother’s Day.

The leading insurance and financial institution recently presented day pass vouchers for a local resort to Corey Archer, Honey Griffith, Kerri Stuart and Marcus Brathwaite, allowing them to treat their mothers and spend some much needed time together after being separated for long stretches for the majority of the last 12 months.

Assistant Vice President – Marketing, Carolyn Shepherd, said “for many people, mothers are one of their greatest sources of love and support at the best of times, much less during a pandemic. As such, Sagicor is pleased to offer the gift of quality time to these families who have been apart due to the COVID-19 virus."

“We therefore sought to find a way to give a few of our clients the opportunity to re-connect physically with their mothers after months of “virtual” interaction, and we’re certain that this experience will add to the many memories they have created over the years”, said Shepherd.

Initiatives were also undertaken by the company in other territories across the region, with one such activity involving the Sagicor team visiting 20 shelters in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to deliver sweet treats and care packages to the oldest mothers, along with mother of small children, who are staying there following the eruption of La Soufriere.
