Sagicor announces appointment of Ann Powell-Pollard to unit manager

Sagicor is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Powell-Pollard to unit manager in its Tobago office, effective May 1.
Powell-Pollard is a stalwart of the organisation, having joined the then Mutual (now Sagicor) in July 1994. “It was my first foray into the insurance industry, and I’ve been with Sagicor ever since. From then, until now, I’ve gotten to see firsthand the positive impact that having insurance can have on people’s lives and I get to ensure that families experience financial stability for future generations. It is an exceptional privilege.”
Powell-Pollard’s mantra is service to others and with her new appointment, she looks forward to offering unparalleled service to her clients, mentoring new advisors into an industry that welcomed her with open arms and supporting the veterans in the business however she can.
In commenting on the appointment, Jacinto Martinez, vice president, sales and marketing, Sagicor Life Inc, said, “Ann is a committed and dynamic leader with over 25 years’ experience with Sagicor. She has a wealth of knowledge, which not only allows her to provide excellent service to her clients but will also be the solid foundation that she will use to guide her unit in the years ahead.”
He continued, “I’ve known Ann for many years and can speak to her strong work ethic. Her clients are part of her extended family, and she believes in putting them first always.”
Powell-Pollard holds qualifications from the Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute; the Caribbean Association of Life Underwriters; the Life Underwriters Association of Trinidad and Tobago; and Limra International, in taxation, financial accounting, and personal financial planning.
A community- and family-oriented individual, she is also an avid supporter of the Buccooneers Steel Orchestra.
