September 30, 2016

Positive Coaching Alliance-Tampa Bay, the local chapter of the national non-profit Positive Coaching Alliance that develops “Better Athletes, Better People” through youth and high school sports - has named 25 Tampa Bay-area student-athletes from the high school class of 2017 as finalists for the Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship Awards Presented by Sagicor Life Insurance Company.

“Our program honors student-athletes who impact sport on three levels, improving themselves, teammates and the game as a whole,” said PCA-Tampa Bay Chapter Executive Director Mark Sakalosky. “Those principles for excellence athletically and in terms of character-education reflect the values and techniques taught in our workshops and other resources reaching student-athletes throughout the Tampa Bay region. All the finalists can take pride in the essays they submitted and the testimonials submitted on their behalf by members of their school communities.”

“Sagicor Life is pleased to recognize these student-athletes from the Tampa Bay community,” said Bart Catmull, President, Sagicor Life Insurance Company. “They each have demonstrated that they are leaders on their teams and within their high schools.
