James Camacho joined the Sagicor family in May 2006 as the Vice President of Operations of the Trinidad Branch of Sagicor Life Inc. James has been in the insurance industry for 19 years and has worked in a consultant actuarial position for 13 years.

At Sagicor, he is responsible for Employee Benefits – Group Life, Group Health, Group Pensions and Individual Health, as well as Properties. He is also a member of various committees within the Sagicor Group of Companies, and is the Sagicor representative on the board of the Maple Leaf International School.

He holds a BA in Accounts and Finance and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries specialising in Pensions. He is also the current president of the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies (ATTIC).
