Mr Hinkson brings an expansive and solid career in Professional Auditing, Financial Management and Reporting, and General Management, to his role as Chief Financial Officer. After eight years leading multiple audit teams with Ernst and Young in Barbados, he joined Brydens in 2000 as the Group Financial Controller, where he served as a member of the integration team for the merger with Ansa McAl in Barbados. In 2005 he transitioned to the telecommunications industry as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TeleBarbados Inc where he led the expansion of the client base and spearheaded the growth of the enterprise. Mr Hinkson subsequently joined Cable & Wireless (Barbados) Limited as Chief Financial Officer and Commercial Director in 2012 where he was responsible for the internal and external financial reporting for the company. He last held the post of Chief Financial Officer at CGI Consumers’ Guarantee Insurance Company Limited.

 

Mr Hinkson is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, and currently serves as a member of the Council. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Finance, Investments, and Tenders Committee of the Barbados Cricket Association, and was a member of the Council of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce. He holds a B.Sc. Management Studies (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados and has been a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados since 2007. He enjoys golf, the gym and has more recently developed a passion for CrossFit. This appointment is subject to various regulatory approvals.
